To note, regarding drives and PCIe dependencies the manual says this. You might have to try swapping the gpu and fw card slots again without the M2, but it's worth trying every possible config. Is there the possibility of testing the system without the M2 drive in? I'm pretty sure that some people have resolved similar issues by moving HDD/SSD ports. My next step would probably be installing windows 7 but im fearing that its the midas fw not working properly.

I tried installing it on my macbook pro late 2011 with Yosemite 10.10.5 also no success. I tried different FW cables to be sure as well. I tried putting the GPU in the bottom with no succes.Īlso removed the GPU and tried all the other slots one by one.Įvery time I changed slots i would uninstall and reinstall the midas driver and try out to see if the legacy drivers would work. If you do, put it back together and see where it breaks. take the GPU out, run it off the onboard GPU option for testing and see if you can get it working at all. Most full sized boards share resources between slots, and whilst you're on a Micro board and the manual looks to be clear of such things, I'd certainly try it as a "just in case it works" sort of thing. One thing that I may suggest whilst I'm here is to try the Firewire card in another PCI-e slot if you haven't already. Past that you'll need to confirm with Midas for any desk specific "known" issues that I might not be aware of as I don't have a lot of experience with it. Sorry, I don't have an easy answer for you, but I can confirm that it *should* work with most Firewire devices, or at least it does in prior testing. The newer model you have there in front of you it should just be working fine both with and without the legacy driver.
